It is day 2 of this epic blizzard of 2016 (aka Storm Jonas). The snow started coming down in the DC-area yesterday around 1 p.m. It’s been about 24 hours now, and it’s still going strong. I think we may have another 12 hours or so to go.
I went out for a walk this morning, when it was easing up a bit. The sidewalks and trail I normally run on were difficult to get through, but the streets were looking pretty good. Big thanks to all those working hard through this storm, salting and continuously plowing the roads.
The walk was peaceful, and I felt like I had the whole world to myself.

The streets were looking pretty decent this morning in Bethesda, Md.

This is the trail I normally run on. The snow came up to my knees.

Trees along the trail.

One of my favorite photos from this morning. Just the snow plowers and me.
The snow is coming down pretty strong right now, and the wind looks intense. If it eases up again later this afternoon or evening, I may try to take another walk. Is Storm Jonas hitting your area, too? If so, I hope you are staying safe and warm.

This storm is crazy.
Beautiful photos, can’t believe how much snow has fallen (is still falling?)!! Good luck!
Thanks so much, Jane! It’s been kind of crazy. Pretty out there, but crazy.
Beautiful! Couldn’t even tell it was Bethesda 🙂
Thanks, Jen! Loooove your GoPro pic. You should take more of those! GoPros are so fun. 🙂
